The BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Utara Province received a special visit from Member of Committee IV of the DPD RI, Maya Olivia Rumantir, in order to supervise inflation control in the region. This visit was welcomed directly by the Head of BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Utara, Aidil Adha, accompanied by the Head of General Affairs Bhayu Prabowo, as well as Middle Statisticians and several other employees.
In a lively discussion, Senator Maya Rumantir gained important insights regarding inflation in North Sulawesi. One interesting fact conveyed by the Head of BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Utara is that cayenne pepper is the commodity that is most sensitive to inflation in this region.
Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H and Easter 2025, Maya Rumantir emphasized the importance of price stability for basic necessities so that people's purchasing power is maintained. Collaboration between various parties is very much needed so that inflation can be controlled properly.
"Inflation has a threshold. Therefore, to prevent certain individuals from playing bad trade practices that can cause a very high spike in food prices, the government needs to take strategic steps," said Maya.
Hopefully with solid coordination, the economy of Sulawesi Utara remains stable and the community can live the big day peacefully! 💪📉
