Abstract

This publication reviews the demographic transition conditions of Sulawesi Utara with an emphasis on migration aspects which can be an important input for development planning and solving social problems. Apart from being influenced by fertility and mortality, migration is a very important component in explaining changes in population dynamics. Therefore, migration data in terms of quantity, structure and distribution in a region is really needed.
