Statistical Press Release – 2 June 2025

On Monday, June 2, 2025, BPS Statistic Sulawesi Utara Province conducted the release of the Official Statistical News (Berita Resmi Statistik/BRS). The indicators released include:

1. Consumer Price Index (CPI) Development for Sulawesi Utara – May 2025
2. Farmers’ Terms of Trade (NTP) for Sulawesi Utara – May 2025
3. Tourism Statistics for Sulawesi Utara – April 2025
4. Sea and Air Transport Statistics for Sulawesi Utara – April 2025
5. Export and Import Developments for Sulawesi Utara – April 2025

This press release was held in a hybrid format through YouTube live streaming, virtual Zoom meeting, and on-site presentation by Mr. Aidil Adha, Head of BPS Statistic Sulawesi Utara Province. Also in attendance was Ms. Wilhelmina Pangemanan, Head of the Provincial Office of Agriculture and Livestock.

In his presentation, Mr. Aidil explained that the year-on-year inflation rate in Sulawesi Utara for May 2025 stood at 1.53 percent. The Farmers’ Terms of Trade (NTP) in May 2025 was recorded at 131.14, an increase of 3.92 percent. The occupancy rate of star-classified hotels in April 2025 reached 36.81 percent. The number of incoming international air passengers in April 2025 was 11,500—down by 2.72 percent from March 2025 (11,821 passengers). Outgoing international air passengers also decreased by 0.77 percent, from 11,488 in March 2025 to 11,400 in April 2025. Meanwhile, Sulawesi Utara’s trade balance in April 2025 recorded a surplus of US$71.20 million.
