Profile of Sulawesi Utara Poverty, March 2025

BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Utara Province held a press release of the Official Statistics News (BRS), delivered live by the Head of BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Utara Province, Aidil Adha. This release was held in a hybrid format, with both in-person meetings and virtual broadcasts via Zoom and YouTube. The strategic indicators released on this occasion were the Poverty Profile and the Level of Population Expenditure Inequality.

In his presentation, he explained that the percentage of the poor population in March 2025 was 6.71 percent, an increase of 0.01 percentage points compared to September 2024. Meanwhile, the level of expenditure inequality among North Sulawesi residents, as measured by the Gini Ratio, was 0.343 in March 2025. This figure decreased by 0.004 points compared to the September 2024 Gini Ratio of 0.347 and by 0.017 points compared to the March 2024 Gini Ratio of 0.360.
