Development of Sulawesi Utara Farmers' Exchange Rate November 2022

Abstract

The Sulawesi Utara Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in November 2022 fell 0.73 percent to 105.10 compared to October which was still 105.88. The change in NTP is due to the decrease in the price index received by farmers (It) faster than the price index paid by farmers (Ib). It fell to 1.04 percent, while Ib fell only 0.31 percent.
NTP both YTD (calendar year) and YoY (year on year) shows a downward trend. Based on YTD, it fell to 4.89 percent, and YoY fell 5.15 percent.
The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) also decreased by 1.10 percent, from 104.38 in October to 103.24 in November.
In rural areas there was a deflation of 0.44 percent. Deflation occurred in three groups, namely the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group; Equipment, Equipment and Household Routine Maintenance; and Housing, Water, Electricity, and Other Fuels. There were five expenditure groups that experienced inflation, namely the Health group; Personal Care and Other Services; Provision of Food and Beverages/Restaurants; Transportation; and Clothing and Footwear experienced inflation. While in the Information, Communication and Financial Services spending group; Recreation, Sports and Culture; and Education tends to stagnate.
