Abstract

The value of Sulawesi Utara non-oil and gas exports in October 2022* was recorded at US$ 82.06 million while imports were valued at US$ 12.32 million.

The largest non-oil and gas export commodity in October 2022* was still dominated by animal/vegetable fats and oils (HS 15), valued at US$ 41.81 million or 50.95 percent of total exports. Meanwhile, the largest imported commodity is mineral fuel (HS 27), worth US$ 10.77 million or 87.45 percent of total imports.

Sulawesi Utara largest export destination in October 2022* was China at US$ 26.39 million or 32.16 percent of total exports. Meanwhile, Malaysia became the country of origin for the largest imports in October 2022* which reached US$ 11.23 million or 91.19 percent of total imports.

The value of the trade balance of Sulawesi Utara as measured by the calculation of net exports (total exports minus total imports) in October 2022* experienced a surplus of US$ 69.74 million. This value decreased compared to the previous month, which recorded a surplus of US$ 77.85 million.
