Tourism Development in March 2025 in North Sulawesi Province

In March 2025, foreign tourist visits to North Sulawesi reached 4,403 visits. This number increased by 25.91 percent compared to February 2025 (m-to-m) and increased by 8.85 percent compared to the same month last year (y-on-y). Foreign tourists visiting North Sulawesi in March 2025 were dominated by foreign tourists from China (59.62 percent), Malaysia (10.54 percent), and Germany (4.77 percent).
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) in star hotels in March 2025 reached 33.46 percent, decreasing by 3.22 points (m-to-m), and decreasing by 5.44 points (y-on-y). Meanwhile, the average length of stay of guests in star hotels decreased by 0.03 points compared to February 2025.
The number of foreign tourists in March 2025 reached 1,212 trips. The number decreased by 24.63 percent compared to February 2025 (m-to-m), and decreased by 9.28 percent compared to the same month in the previous year (y-on-y).
The number of domestic tourist trips in March 2025 reached 921,933 trips.
