Official Statistics News Release - 2nd May, 2025

Friday, 2nd May, 2025, BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Utara Province held an Official Statistics News (BRS) release activity. The indicators released were the Development of the Consumer Price Index of Sulawesi Utara Province in April 2025, the Development of the Farmer's Exchange Rate of Sulawesi Utara Province in April 2025, the Development of Tourism in Sulawesi Utara Province in March 2025, and the Development of Sea and Air Transportation in Sulawesi Utara Province in March 2025. The Press Release was carried out in a hybrid manner via live streaming on YouTube, virtual zoom, and was delivered directly by Aidil Adha as the Head of BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Utara Province.

In his presentation, he explained that in April 2025, the Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Sulawesi Utara Province was 2.27 percent. The Farmer's Exchange Rate of Sulawesi Utara Province in April 2025 was 126.19 or an increase of 0.50 percent. For foreign tourist visits (wisman) in March 2025, it reached 4,403 visits, an increase of 8.85 percent year-on-year (y-on-y). The Room Occupancy Rate in starred hotels in March 2025 reached 33.46 percent, down 5.44 points (y-on-y). The number of national tourist trips (wisnas) in March 2025 reached 1,212 trips, down 9.28 percent (y-on-y). The number of domestic tourist trips in March 2025 reached 921,933 trips, up 44.70 percent (y-on-y). Meanwhile, the number of foreign air passengers arriving in March 2025 was 11,821 people, up 6.78 percent compared to February 2025 (11,070 people). The number of domestic air passengers arriving in March 2025 was 56,136 people, down 0.67 percent compared to February 2025 (56,512 people). The number of sea passengers arriving/disembarking increased by 23.72 percent, from 36,722 people in February 2025 to 45,431 people in March 2025.
